HISTORY OF THE MOUNT HOOD RAILROAD
Mount Hood Railroad is a century-old, short line railroad offering scenic passenger excursions through Northern Oregon. Located just outside of Portland, Mount Hood Railroad offers round-trip train excursions, railbike riding, and seasonal special events. Our trips offer a thousand views as we travel through orchards, vineyards, and forests enjoying picture perfect views of snow-capped Mount Hood and capturing the nostalgia of classic American train travel along the way.

SCENIC RAILROAD PASSENGER INFO
All passenger trains depart from and return to the Mount Hood Railroad depot in Hood River, Oregon. Paid parking facilities are available at the depot. There are a limited number of parking spaces for the disabled as well. Pre-purchased tickets are available at the will call window at the depot. Available tickets can be purchased on site as well.
All seats are pre-assigned and seat numbers are indicated on boarding passes. Return times may vary. Please note you must request to be seated with another party if family or friends are joining you.

Reservations are recommended on all scenic excursion trains, however, walk-in’s are welcomed and seated based on availability.
We gladly accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards.
SCENIC RAILROAD GIFT CERTIFICATES
Make the most of every celebration with a gift certificate for any of our trains. Whatever the occasion, friends, family and colleagues will appreciate your thoughtfulness.
Gift Certificates may be purchased in any denomination and can be mailed out the same day they are ordered. Each Gift Certificate is valid for one year from the date of purchase. Hold on credit card or mail in prior to departure.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If you would like cancellation flexibility, we highly recommend purchasing Cancellation+ when booking your reservation, especially if you are concerned about Covid. It allows you to cancel UP TO 24 HOURS before your departure time and receive a full cash refund minus service fees. There are no reschedules or refunds for cancellations within 24 hours prior to departure time.
