Food & Beverages

Sandwiches may be pre-ordered, and light snacks are available at the station before boarding. Guests with VIP or Premium tickets enjoy bar access in the Lounge Car for the duration of the journey. During the layover, additional food and beverage options are available at The Fruit Company. Passengers are welcome to bring their own snacks, drinks, or picnic lunch — outside alcohol is prohibited.

Wine Tasting

For those wishing to participate in a tasting at Mt. Hood Winery during the layover, we recommend purchasing a VIP Pass during checkout. This includes expedited service, a souvenir wine glass, and a discount voucher for a future visit. Another option is the Lounge Car, where beer and wine are available for purchase throughout the stop.

Seating

Seats are sold individually, so every person needs a ticket. Seating is assigned by Mt. Hood Railroad based on your ticket type. VIP, Premium, and Parlor tickets include a table that seats up to 4. Groups with fewer than four may be seated with other passengers, so if you’d like a private table, be sure to book tickets in multiples of 4. Standard seating does not include a table. To sit with friends or family, make one reservation together or note the first and last name of the group you’d like to sit with in the booking comments.

Babies

Infants 0–2 years old may travel as lap children.

Wheelchairs

Our Parlor seating can accommodate 2 wheelchairs, with a max width of 27 inches. A lift is available, but electric chairs cannot be loaded or stored. Please note: wheelchairs do not fit through restroom doors due to the train’s historic design.

Assistance with Boarding

If assistance is required for boarding (e.g., for passengers with walkers), please note this when booking so arrangements can be made.

Pets

Pets are not allowed. Anyone attempting to bring a pet will face a $100 penalty and will not be permitted to continue after the Pine Grove layover.

Weapons

Since we are family-friendly, no weapons are allowed. Even if you have a conceal-carry license for a gun, we ask that you leave your weapon in your car. This also applies to all knives and any other weapons.

Cancellation Policy

If you would like cancellation flexibility, we highly recommend purchasing Cancellation+ when booking your reservation.  It allows you to cancel UP TO 24 HOURS before your departure time and receive a full cash refund minus service fees.
