Food & Beverages
Guests can pre-order sandwiches ahead of time, and light snacks are available at the depot before departure. VIP and Premium ticket holders also enjoy exclusive bar access in the Lounge Car throughout the ride. During the layover, you’ll find additional food and drink options at The Fruit Company. You’re welcome to bring along your own snacks, drinks, or a picnic meal — please note that outside alcohol is not permitted.
Wine Tasting
If you’d like to take part in a wine tasting at Mt. Hood Winery during the layover, we recommend purchasing a VIP Pass since space is limited. This option, available during checkout, includes priority service, a souvenir glass, and a discount coupon for a future visit. Alternatively, passengers can head to the Lounge Car, where beer and wine will be available for purchase during the stop.
Seating
Seating is assigned by Mt. Hood Railroad based on your ticket type. VIP, Premium, and Parlor tickets include a table for four. Groups with fewer than four may be seated with other passengers, so if you’d like a private table, be sure to book tickets in multiples of four. Standard seating does not include a table. To sit with friends or family, make one reservation together or note the first and last name of the group you’d like to sit with in the booking comments.
Babies
Infants ages 0–2 may ride as “lap children” and do not require their own seat.
Wheelchairs
Only Parlor seating can accommodate wheelchairs. Please note the maximum width is 27 inches due to the historic train layout. A lift is available for boarding, but electric wheelchairs cannot be stored or loaded. Wheelchairs also will not fit through restroom doors, so plan accordingly.
Assistance with Boarding
If someone in your party requires help boarding (for example, guests using walkers), please mention this in the booking comments so our staff can prepare to assist.
Pets
Pets are not allowed on board. For safety reasons, guests found bringing pets will face a $100 fine and will be unable to re-board after the Pine Grove layover.”
Cancellation Policy
If you would like cancellation flexibility, we highly recommend purchasing Cancellation+ when booking your reservation. It allows you to cancel UP TO 24 HOURS before your departure time and receive a full cash refund minus service fees.
