Celebrate the arrival of Spring in the valley with white and pink blossoms. Hood River Valley is the largest pear-growing region in Oregon, producing half of the nation’s winter pear crop. There are also plenty of cherry and apples orchards as evidenced by the acres of beautiful blossoms in the Valley. Maps of the Fruit Loop are available for a drive through the area—or we highly recommend a train ride through the orchards to focus on the views and not the road.
Blossom Time is over 60 years old and is growing each year by adding new events like a Hard Pressed Cider Fest with area cideries. Blossom Time comes traditionally in mid to late April. Include craft and quilt shows, pancake breakfasts, a pansy party, a grange blossom dinner, wine and beer. Learn more at the Hood River County Chamber of Commerce.
